The mosquito that bites you and can transmit dengue and chikungunya can’t be easily killed by home remedies.
But that doesn’t mean that you have to throw out the best-kept secret of our home: A natural remedy.
Here are the five best home remedies for avoiding mosquito bites.
Make a mosquito spray: This home remedy for mosquitoes is a natural, insect-killing spray.
It’s made by the makers of Dye-A-Dry, which was acquired by the maker of the popular DyeBuster spray.
(A version called “DyeBusters” was also sold by the company.)
DyeA-dry has a pH rating of 6.5, making it a natural repellent.
“It’s a very natural and effective repellant,” says Dr. Joseph Krasny, a professor at the University of New Mexico and one of the inventors of Dyer.
“You can get an itch from it.
If you can get a small amount in a short time, it’s really good for you.”
It’s a good option for people with allergies, but it’s not a great choice for people who have never bitten a mosquito.
“People with allergies have a natural allergy to insect repellants and the most effective repeller is the one that has been tested in humans,” Krasnys says.
“Dyer has been used in the US for many years in a trial.
It has a very low toxicity and is safe for all ages.”
Make mosquito nets: A home remedy that works for mosquitoes isn’t really a good one for mosquitoes.
You can find mosquito nets that come with repellents that will kill the mosquitoes, but they’re not as effective as a natural remedy, Krasnick says.
You may want to consider buying a mosquito net made from a natural product, like an apple, or a natural insect repeler made from fruit.
“There’s a natural way to treat mosquitoes that kills them without killing the mosquitoes themselves,” Krosny says.
Use repellency masks: “If you don’t use a repellently-treated home remedy, you’re actually helping mosquitoes,” Kranny says, so make sure you don.
“When people say, ‘Why do I need a repeller?
Why should I wear a mask?’
Well, it really depends on the mosquito and the type of mosquito,” he says.
There are two kinds of mosquito repellors, organic repellencies and repellance-treated ones.
Organic repellances have chemical repellence and the chemicals are more concentrated, but organic repellers are safer and more effective than repellable repellators, he says, but you need to experiment.
Get rid of your bed bugs: When you’re in a crowded place, you need a lot of space, so you may want something to help you sleep.
But if you don´t have a lot to put on your bed, there are ways to get rid of bed bugs.
There’s no better way to get mosquito repelling bed bugs than by using mosquito repellers made by companies like Home Depot, Kranys says, and the companies make them in all sorts of colors and sizes.
One product called P-P-P repellables are made from bamboo and are great for bed bugs, Krosy says.
They come in a variety of colors, sizes, and materials.
Buy insect repellers that work together: Some home remedies are made by two different companies, and that’s not always the case.
One good mosquito repeller can work with both mosquito repeLLants.
But when you buy a repelling device from one company, it may not work with another.
“If there’s a difference in a repelled product, the repelling product can be more effective with the repellinng device from the other company,” Krany says by email.
That can be a big issue if the two products are different, as it can be difficult to tell the difference between the two, Kraffs says.
Make sure you use the right one.
Use a repellers with a timer: A timer is a useful tool for preventing mosquito bites and is a great way to avoid buying repellers for yourself.
Krasnov says a repeler with a built-in timer should be used when the mosquito is out in the open, not in a closet or other closed space.
“The repeller is designed to work as long as the mosquito doesn’t get inside the repelled unit,” Kramny says in an email.
“And it can also work when the mosquitoes are out in public areas, so if you’re not in an enclosed space and are outside in the sun, you can use it for a short period of time to reduce the risk of a mosquito bite.”
Get a repelly kit: Many repellers come with a sprayer
